09-05-2011 - RJ did a solo show the 6th of may 2011 at W2, Den Bosch, Netherlands.
Last friday I played solo at the W2 venue, Den Bosch, Netherlands. The whole show has been recorded and here you can watch one of my personal songs "For the ones I've lost": I'm planning to record a solo album somewhere in the future, meanwhile The Liszt is still working on a new studio album.. Be patient.

Saturday, 23nd of may, The Liszt will play a special show at W2 Den Bosch. Together with many others, we will celebrate Bidi Bookings' 7,5 year of existence. Check out the flyer on the right, and the venue's website. We hope to see you there!
Also, RJ & Ro will be joining up with other cool musicians at the Jampod jam sessions at Plein79 on the 10th of may. Former the Liszt-collaborator Joris Dirks will also be part of the group. Come listen and let them surprise you! Check the Plein 79 website for more info.

10-12-2008 - 013 - Tilburg show CANCELLED!
I'm very sorry to announce this at such short notice, but yesterday we received the news that that tomorrow's show at 013 in Tilburg has been cancelled.
We were supposed to open up for German rockers Slut, but the sudden and severe illness of the son of Slut's drummer has forced Slut to cancel all of their Dutch shows, including tomorrow's show.
We fully understand and respect their decision, as family and good health are far more important than music. Our hearts and thoughts are with Matthias' son, and we hope he will get well soon!
Hopefully, we will be able to play with Slut (which is a kickass band, mind you! We were really looking forward to this gig.) somewhere in the future.

The Liszt are glad to announce that we will perform live on stage in every remaining month of 2008.
- September:
We'll play in Café de Deut in Nijmegen on the 12th, during De Popronde, together with Duffhuës!
- October:
As previously announced, we'll share stages with Brant Bjork & The Bros in Haarlem (Het Patronaat) and Uden (De Pul) on the 4th and 24th, respectively.
- November:
We will perform during the first very special Space Jam Night at Cul de Sac, Tilburg, on the 24th!
December:
We will perform atthe Space Jam Label Night at De Groene Engel, Oss, in the dark days before Christmas. December 19th, to be exact.

24-07-2008 - The Liszt live in Oss
On sunday July 27th, The Liszt performed at LolliPop, a free festival outside the Lollipop Café in downtown Oss.
The day started off with Radio Blackout (featuring Tim & Tom of The Liszt) at around 3 PM. Next on the line-up were Hooghwater, 3rd on the bill were The Liszt (with some special guests :-) ), and headliner of the day were Les Anges (formerly known as Hulk) from Brussels.
Great fun! Hope you were there, because if not, you missed a great festival!

We will be playing alongside Brant Bjork & the Bros at Het Patronaat in Haarlem on October 4th.
We'll meet BB & the B's again on October 24th, when we play at the Stonerfestival at De Pul in Uden, alongside Los Natas and Gomer Pyle.

RJ reports:
"Well, this evening I went with Marcel, Ro, Bidi and Michelle to a pretty cool Motorpsycho concert at the Effenaar in Eindhoven...
When I walked back to my car, I noticed someone has broken into my car. Well, that's life. They had broken a window... that's a part of this life we're living in too. But damn, they stole 25 brand new copies of the new album :)
So I want to congratulate the thief (or thieves) for stealing 25 copies of the new brilliant album "Slaves"! Ode!
They also stole my most favorite custome made Volumizer FX-pedal, especially created for me and of course totally useless for everybody else. So again, congratulations on acquiring this beautiful product! :)
Together with the broken radio and some cables I am laying in my bed, totally depressed about what just happened to me. I don't know what to do anymore... I lost my broken radio, which brought me many years of crap sounds.
So if anybody finds my custome made Volumizer and/or the 25 brand new copies of "Slaves", e-mail me at: robert-jan -AT- theliszt.com ! They've probably thrown it away somewhere, understanding that it's all pretty worthless in their hands. (Don't worry, I don't expect anything at all, but it's just nice to give somebody a change to do something good, haha... I'm too good for this world!).
And eh, if you find the radio, you can keep it. Burn it, or whatever.

We're glad to announce that we've been selected for the Popronde 2008. That means there's a good change we're gonna meet a lot of people in Holland, during this year's Popronde. Popronde organises shows for new bands all over The Netherlands in different venues and cities.
Come check us out in a few month for new tourdates!

Friday, May 16th, is the day that the new album "Slaves" will be presented live at Plein '79 in Den Bosch [The Netherlands]. The fee for this special night will be € 10, but a free copy of "Slaves" will be included for every visitor. Special guests this night will be Baron [Astrosoniq] and Duffhuës.
We hope to see you there.
